Job summary

Sunshine Retirement Living in Texas seeks an Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in planning, implementing, and promoting wellness and recreation programs for residents. You will help schedule events, coordinate participation, and transport residents as required, ensuring safety and high quality of life in our community. The role emphasizes teamwork, clear English communication, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• CDL may be required; if so, obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Team player with organizational and time-management skills.
• Satisfactorily pass background, health, TB clearance as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director with planning, implementing, and monitoring wellness and recreation programs.
• Provide programs and events to encourage engagement and socialization for residents.
• Hands-on involvement during residents' scheduled times.
• Coordinate Ambassadors Club, resident council, and food council meetings.
• Assist with monthly activities calendar and inform residents of daily activities.
• Escort residents to activities and ensure safety and proper use of fitness equipment.
• Coordinate transportation to events outside the community by driving a community vehicle if needed.
• Support social media content and maintenance for the Community Facebook page.
