Job summary

Covenant Health, through Claiborne Medical Center, is recruiting an Activities Assistant for a nursing home setting. The role supports activity programs, coordinates documentation, and promotes resident engagement and community involvement.

The position requires coordinating with the Activity Coordinator, adhering to facility policies, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment for residents. Experience in healthcare or recreational programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in a school, recreational program, or health care setting preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement activity programs that meet Federal, State and facility requirements.
• Assist in developing resources to provide a quality activity program that addresses residents' needs and preferences.
• Assist in all documentation requirements as requested by the Activity Coordinator.
• Provide documentation for programs and services performed.
• Communicate with residents, families and the community through newsletters and promotional materials.
• Support staff through activity in-services and educational programs.
