Job summary

Cross Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated laundry associate to support facility operations in Texas Heights. The role involves collecting, sorting, laundering, distributing, and storing linens and residents’ personal clothing in line with facility policy.

Responsibilities include handling all laundry per sanitary guidelines, sorting and transporting loads, washing and folding, labeling items, and using PPE when needed. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in a related position preferred.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Handles all laundry in compliance with sanitary guidelines.
• Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories. Lifts and carries loads of laundry to and from cleaning equipment.
• Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
• Identifies personal laundry with resident’s names and remarks personal clothing items if needed.
• Uses appropriate PPE when handling contaminated clothing.
• Performs other related duties as required or requested.
