Job summary

Outcome HC is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to support resident services in our facility. The role involves sorting soiled linen, operating washers and dryers, and ensuring sanitary handling of all laundry items.

Applicants must communicate effectively in English, maintain confidentiality per HIPAA standards, and work well with residents, families, staff and external agencies. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, write, and understand the English language.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Handle and sort soiled linen and personal clothing.
• Load and operate washers and dryers according to operating instructions.
• Follow sanitation procedures to avoid contamination of clean linen.
• Fold and hang clean linen and personal clothing per supervisor's instructions.
• Transport and deliver clean linen and personal clothing to floors and residents’ rooms.
• Clean and sanitize work area daily including machines, work tables and sorting area.
• Maintain laundry machines and carts in aseptic condition.
