Job summary

Community-Residences is seeking a part-time Resident Instructor in Southington, CT. The role focuses on creating a supportive learning environment, implementing care plans, and assisting individuals with daily living activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in the field of Human Services preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related Human Services area preferred in addition to experience.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with persons with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, positive learning environment and develop strategies to help clients cope with daily living.
• Lift and transfer 70-75 lbs; active work inside and outside the home.
• Administer medications as certified and track documentation per policy and DDS standards.
• Monitor health, behavior, appointments, and report changes to supervisor and RN.
• Assist in meals planning and preparation within budget.
