Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years in human services preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Ability to communicate with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing learning environment and help clients cope with daily living.
• Lift and transfer clients as needed, with safe, approved techniques.
• Document client progress and follow care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications per policy after certification and report errors.
• Assist in planning meals within budget and ensure dietary plans are followed.
• Maintain house and vehicle cleanliness and safety; report repairs promptly.
• Attend trainings and maintain required certifications per policy.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Experience in Human Services (2+ years)

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (preferred)
