Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections across all construction disciplines.
• Verify compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and codes.
• Identify deficiencies and track corrective actions to resolution.
• Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports with photos and documentation.
• Support payment applications, change orders, and progress tracking.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers, and owners to resolve field issues.
• Monitor construction progress and flag schedule risks proactively.

About the Role

We are seeking a Resident Inspector to serve as the Owner’s on-site representative during construction. This role is responsible for ensuring contract compliance, monitoring construction activities, and maintaining rigorous project documentation across all phases of the work.

You will play a key role in protecting project quality, schedule, and budget, while coordinating closely with contractors, designers, and project stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Perform daily field inspections across all construction disciplines (civil, structural, MEP, architectural)
• Verify compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and codes
• Identify deficiencies and track corrective actions to resolution
• Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports with photos and documentation
• Support payment applications, change orders, and progress tracking
• Coordinate with contractors, designers, and owners to resolve field issues
• Monitor construction progress and flag schedule risks proactively

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• EIT certification (required)
• PE license (preferred)
• 2–5+ years of construction inspection or related experience
• Experience with public or federally funded projects (FEMA, CDBG-DR, HUD) is a plus
