Job summary

Bechtel is designing and building a semiconductor fabrication facility in Clay, NY. In this role you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for the project’s control systems components and processes.

You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of control systems, with recommendations to resolve technical issues and meet complex requirements. This position is based onsite in Clay, NY.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) including inline/offline instrumentation, valves, analyzers, sensors and PLCs.
• Experience with engineering procedures, design disciplines, project forecasting and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and provides technical direction to engineers, scientists, specialists, designers and drafters.
• Maintains contacts with client representatives, suppliers and field personnel to coordinate work per requirements.
• Coordinates Engineering and Construction/Procurement activities to meet standards, cost and schedule.
• Performs select engineering tasks in line with quality standards and schedule.
• Ensures facilities and systems are installed per engineering specifications and reflects as-built conditions.
