Job summary

Avenue at Aurora is seeking a dependable Transportation Aide to help residents get to appointments, activities, and outings safely and comfortably. You will operate facility vehicles, assist with boarding and mobility, and maintain a friendly, respectful attitude toward all residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Valid driver's license with no more than 5 points.
• Clear criminal and FBI background checks.
• Medical exam and Passenger Assistance Course completion.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents physically.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate facility vehicles for scheduled trips
• Assist residents with boarding, exiting, and mobility needs
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues
• Follow traffic laws and facility policies
• Coordinate transportation schedules with staff
• Keep accurate records for billing and documentation
• Provide friendly, respectful service to all residents
