Job summary

Vantage Care, LLC is seeking a PTA to fill PRN opportunities in a long-term care setting. The PTA will assist the supervising PT with resident treatments, help achieve functional goals, and contribute to a safe, supportive care environment.

Must hold licensure eligibility in the relevant state and have a willingness to work in a facility. Prior LTC experience is preferred, with on-call availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited PTA program and eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the PT in providing physical therapy treatments to residents as determined by the Plan of Care.
• Manages caseload with supervisor by scheduling treatment individually or in groups while maintaining efficiency expectations.
• Instructs resident, family, and caregivers in PT to be continued upon discharge.
• Adheres to PPS guidelines and ensures documentation/treatment conforms to policies and billing procedures.
• Provides oversight and direction of techs and assists in supervision/education of affiliating students.
• Ensures the physical environment and equipment are sanitary, orderly and safe.
