Job summary

NewCourtland is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to maintain a safe, sanitary, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will clean rooms and common areas daily, dispose of waste, and monitor safety on shift, in line with facility policies.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of custodian or janitor experience, can work with minimal supervision, and are able to perform duties that require standing and physical activity throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience in a custodian, janitor, or similar role.
• Minimum of one year’s experience performing above listed duties.
• Must be able to perform duties with a minimum of supervision.
• This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily according to facility procedures.
• Clean walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and wax floors according to department procedures and cleaning schedules.
• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Monitor workplace for safety and fire hazards and corrects or reports potential problems.
• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift and as needed.
