Job summary

The Housekeeping Assistant supports our community by performing daily housekeeping duties to keep the facility clean, safe, and comfortable for residents, under the direction of the Executive Director and the Director of Housekeeping.

This role requires adherence to safety and infection control procedures, coordination with nursing staff, maintenance of supplies, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; a compassionate approach to working with residents is essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping functions and follow established safety precautions and infection control procedures.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
• Dispose of personal protective equipment in accordance with our established sanitation procedures.
• Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as directed or requested.
• Clean windows/mirrors, bathrooms, floors, and surfaces daily.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
