Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Worker/Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help ensure dietary needs are met, maintain kitchen sanitation, and provide friendly service to residents and staff.

This role requires teamwork, reliability, and adherence to food-safety standards. The position is on-site with benefits including telemedicine, EAP, and training support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effective communication with residents and staff.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies may apply.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
