Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Worker/Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals for residents in a long-term care facility.

The role emphasizes friendly service and adherence to safety standards, with opportunities for growth and training. The position requires a positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and teamwork, with preference for prior food service experience and state-mandated certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and clear communication with residents and staff.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
