Job summary

Aviata Health Group at Grand Oaks in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner for resident comfort.

You will coordinate maintenance with nursing staff, perform repairs, and help with safety inspections to ensure a well-kept, compliant facility for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience as a building trade helper, apprentice or equivalent preferred.
• Qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Assist with all repairs, preventative maintenance, refurbishing projects, and furniture/equipment moving.
• Maintain the facility ground.
• Ensure that the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Assist with safety inspections, tests, and drills, as requested.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.
