Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation work in a service environment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Flexible work schedule is a necessity.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with residents and families to identify needs and develop an appropriate plan of service.
• Verify meal requests with cook.
• Brew coffee and tea and serve beverages as requested; serve water and juice.
• Assist with serving meals and tray preparation for residents.
• Bus tables after meals and reset tables with silverware, stemware, and napkins; replace toppers as needed.
• Keep dining room counters clean and wiped down; refill condiments.
• Change out flowers when used as centerpieces as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with food preparation as directed by supervisor.
• Clean dining room, tables, chairs, floors and kitchen areas; wash dishes and take out trash.
• Follow safety, infection control, and universal precautions policies.
