Job summary

Allure is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service according to planned menus and dietary orders. The role includes delivering meals, maintaining a clean, sanitary dining environment, and assisting with snacks and food carts in a care facility.

The position requires English proficiency, reliability, and a patient, cheerful approach to caring for residents, with adherence to infection control practices and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must maintain care & use of supplies, equipment, and ensure sanitation and order in work areas.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm when interacting with residents.
• Must seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into food practices.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals per planned menus with standardized recipes and special diet orders; provide nutritional snacks and substitutions for residents who refuse foods.
• Ensure department is clean and safe; follow infection control precautions.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning; ensure utensils are ready for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks; deliver food carts/trays; serve food and drinks; sweep/mop floors in kitchen/dish room.
