Job summary

Spring Mill Health Campus is seeking a Cook to join a supportive dietary team and help provide delicious, nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment. As a Cook, you will play an important role in improving our residents’ daily experience by preparing meals, checking diet trays, serving meals, and following dietary and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and cooking food in large quantities is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and dietary procedures is helpful
• Long-term care or healthcare dietary experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and make decisions related to assigned duties
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive, dependable, and resident-focused attitude

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to menus, resident dietary needs, and established procedures
• Ensure all dining and dietary procedures are followed
• Check diet trays for accuracy before distribution
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas
• Serve meals in resident dining rooms as instructed
• Follow sanitation, food-safety, and dietary regulations
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and supplies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to residents, families, visitors, vendors, and team members
