Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Security Guard to protect the campus, residents, and staff across all facilities in Grand Rapids. The role involves patrolling, emergency response, and enforcing security procedures on shift.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in security, a valid driver’s license, first aid certification, and strong English communication and customer service skills to support elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Two years security or related work experience.
• Current state driver’s license (CDL preferred) and a good driving record.
• First aid certification and experience in emergency medical situations.
• Ability to read and write in English; communicate with employees and residents.
• Good interpersonal skills, friendly demeanor, and ability to work with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and monitor campus safety systems.
• Secure exterior doors and patrol buildings and grounds.
• Write and distribute incident reports and maintenance requests.
• Monitor vehicle traffic and enforce campus policies.
• Be familiar with campus layout, equipment, and emergency procedures.
