Job summary

Shelter Corporation is seeking a dependable Assistant Property Manager for Cedar Villas Townhomes in Eagan, Minnesota. The role supports leasing, resident relations, and daily operations at a LIHTC community.

You will work with the Property Manager to handle rent processing, compliance, and vendor coordination, ensuring accurate records and professional service to residents.

The position is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive hourly pay, plus Shelter’s comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of affordable housing or LIHTC experience preferred.
• Experience with LIHTC compliance, income certifications, leasing, collections, and resident relations preferred.
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support leasing and lease-up activities including applications and move-ins.
• Assist with daily property operations and office coverage.
• Provide responsive, professional resident service and address inquiries.
• Process rent payments and maintain resident ledgers; assist with collections.
• Support compliance with LIHTC requirements and income certifications.
• Coordinate with maintenance and property manager on work orders and turnovers.
• Assist with reporting related to occupancy and financials.
