Job summary

Dwelling Place in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Property Manager to lead operations, elevate resident experience, and ensure day-to-day success of our affordable housing communities. This full-time role reports to the Portfolio Property Manager, oversees leasing, maintenance, and vendor relationships, and fosters an inclusive, community-focused team culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field is required.
Experience leading onsite teams.
Strong budgeting and expense management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with property management software.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day property operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and consistency.
Lead, mentor, and develop leasing, maintenance, and administrative team members.
Build, manage, and forecast operating budgets; oversee rent collection and financial reporting.
Champion resident experience by building strong relationships and addressing concerns.
Oversee maintenance and vendor relationships; manage contracts and project timelines.
Ensure lease terms, policies, and safety regulations are followed; identify risks and mitigate them.
Work with onsite teams and regional leadership to improve processes and elevate performance.
