Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Porter/Custodian in Walnut Creek, CA. The role blends maintenance and custodial duties to keep interior and exterior spaces pristine. You will assist residents during moves, perform routine cleaning, and support safety compliance while working with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year custodial/maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read and understand policies and procedures (e.g., Key Control, Turnover, Maintenance Emergency)
• Ability to identify cleaning supplies, read SDS, and understand chemical usage
• Knowledge of PPE and safe handling of cleaners and chemicals
• Basic understanding of emergency systems and paint/tools

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance to keep common areas, grounds, and amenities presentable.
• Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and recreation spaces.
• Maintain outdoor spaces, sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaping.
• Regularly empty trash and recycling areas; report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist residents with moving in/out and provide courteous customer service.
• Complete work orders and coordinate with team to ensure resident satisfaction.
