Job summary

American Property Management is seeking a customer service oriented leasing assistant for a 352-unit mid-rise community in Hillsboro, OR. You will tour units, assist residents, handle tenant relations, and ensure timely follow-up with inquiries, with on-site presence required; schedule Tue-Fri 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Sat 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

We require 2+ years in customer service, knowledge of housing laws preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience is required.
• 1+ years in multifamily or student housing within the last 10 years preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal Fair Housing Laws, Landlord/Tenant Laws and ADA laws preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.
• Fluent in English with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Tour units with prospective tenants and highlight the property’s selling points.
• Handle customer and tenant relations and ensure issues are addressed promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of the current area market.
• Prepare and maintain reports for managers.
• Host community events and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Assist residents from beginning to end of the rental process.
