Job summary

LakeshoreVillage in Texas is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative, resident-centered activities program in compliance with applicable standards. You will help plan and conduct individual, small and group activities, and assist with documentation and calendars to meet residents' physical and psychosocial needs.

This role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication with residents, families, and staff, and the ability to adapt activities for bedsides

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct activities for residents of varying abilities.
• Assist in maintaining activity calendars and attendance records.
• Support transportation arrangements for residents when needed.
• Encourage participation and provide materials for hobbies, crafts, and reading.
• Assist with resident assessments and discharge planning as needed.
