ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Resident Engineer to represent our company at a key OEM customer in the automotive plastics sector. The role will require you to work directly at the OEM site, acting as the technical and commercial link between our internal engineering, sales, and program teams.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering experience in plastics injection molding or automotive manufacturing, with a solid understanding of part design, tooling, molding processes,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in plastics injection molding or automotive manufacturing.
• Experience as a design/interface engineer between customer and internal teams.
• Strong communication, problem solving, project management, and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary product design engineering interface between our company and the OEM
• Supporting quoting, new business development, and cost-reduction initiatives
• Supporting product and process development from concept through production launch
• Maintaining strong day-to-day customer relationships
• Communicating customer requirements internally and driving timely resolution
• Coordinating design reviews, tooling, mold trials, and engineering changes if needed
• Troubleshooting molding, tooling, dimensional, and quality issues if needed
• Working closely with OEM engineering, purchasing, quality, and program teams
• We would ideally like someone with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Preferably within automotive plastics, injection molding, tooling, or a Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, project management, and customer-facing skills are essential.
