The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) seeks a Resident Engineer to supervise contract administration and field engineering staff at the Clinton Project Office, ensuring compliance with specifications, provisions and standard plans.

Responsibilities include administering construction contracts, interpreting plans, preparing project documentation and reports, supervising layout and inspection teams, and coordinating with contractors and property owners.

Formación

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Missouri PE license required.
• Six years highway/transportation engineering experience.
• OSHA 10-Hour certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Administer construction contracts for the assigned Clinton district.
• Interpret construction plans, specifications and special provisions; correct as required.
• Prepare or supervise project documentation, reports, payment estimates, change orders, final plans and contractor performance reports.
• Supervise layout and inspection personnel; manage hiring, performance, scheduling, and training.
• Communicate with contractors and property owners to resolve issues and respond to contractor claims.
