GFT is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead a major cable-stayed/long-span bridge construction program in New Jersey within our Construction Services Group. You will oversee delivery, safety, quality, and coordination with clients, inspectors, and design teams, ensuring milestones are met on a high-profile transportation project.

The ideal candidate has 15–20 years in construction inspection and management, a BS in Civil/Structural/Construction Eng, and relevant certifications.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering.
• 15–20 years of experience in construction inspection procedures and management.
• Experience as a Resident Engineer on Cable Stay or Long Span Bridges.
• OSHA 30, PTI, ACI certifications or equivalents.
• NJTA project experience preferred; NJ PE license preferred or reciprocity.

In this capacity, the successful candidate willbe responsible forthe following:

• Provide overall leadership and management for construction projects.
• Maintain comprehensive construction project records.
• Oversee interactions with clients and inspection staff on contract change orders, item payments, and material testing.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Develop monthly progress reports and monthly payments.

What you will bring to our firm:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering.
• Prior experience as a Resident Engineer on Cable Stay or other Long Span Bridges.
• Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in construction inspection procedures and management.
• OSHA 30, Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), ACI and other Relevant Structural, Bridge, and Material Certifications.
• NICET, AMPP, TCC, NJSAT certifications arepreferred.
• Experience with NJTA Projects, Inspection Procedures, Specifications, and Programs is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to project site.

• New Jersey PE License preferred...or ability to obtain through reciprocity

Compensation:

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $290,000 per year. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
