Massachusetts Port Authority in Boston is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead complex capital and tenant-improvement projects. You will ensure design integrity, safety, and operational continuity while coordinating with PMs, contractors, operations, and regulators on-site.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction/resident engineering in complex environments, with strong communication and documentation skills. A Massport license/work authorization is assumed where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of construction/resident engineering/inspection experience in complex environments.
• Knowledge of construction practices, plans, specs, contract requirements, safety codes, and regulatory constraints.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates strong construction management expertise; ensures design intent, construction quality, and operations alignment throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinates with Project Managers, contractors, consultants, Operations, Facilities, tenants, and regulatory agencies to minimize impacts on active transportation facilities and operations.
• Provides on-site leadership with ongoing observation of work, safety, quality, sequencing, constructability, and schedule performance; identifies risks and drives corrective actions.
• Maintains detailed documentation, stakeholder communications, quality assurance, and issue resolution to ensure safe, efficient project delivery.
