Job summary

North Hill, a not-for-profit senior living community in Needham, MA, seeks an Activities Assistant (Part-Time) to plan, develop, and evaluate programs for residents. The role involves coordinating weekly calendars, facilitating group and one-on-one activities, and supporting volunteers and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include creating calendar entries, assisting with meals and events, and maintaining resident engagement aligned with individual needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable with computer software programs.
• Maintains First Aid, CPR, and other certifications and trainings.
• Experience and/or formal training in planning, developing, and facilitating recreational or engagement programs for the senior population is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, implements and evaluates programs to enhance the Resident experience across campus.
• Provides meaningful individual and group engagements within the small house model.
• Creates weekly Residents notes regarding participation, behavior, programming recommendations and highlights per household.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team daily to ensure Residents needs are met.
• Completes written or electronic documentation in a timely manner.
• Participates in household meal services, including preparation, cooking and serving meals.
• Monitors changes in the Resident’s needs, abilities, and preferences to provide programs and activities appropriate for individual and group audiences.
• Assists with facilitating volunteer opportunities for Team Members and Residents.
