Job summary

Royal Health is seeking an Activities Assistant to support long-term, sub-acute and memory care residents. The role focuses on resident-centered care and collaborative teamwork across facility staff. You will assist the Activities Director with plans, calendars, and program development to enhance residents' well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in long-term care or healthcare settings is a plus.
• Experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activities Director in engaging residents with activities addressing intellectual, emotional and spiritual interests.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate activity programs.
• Develop monthly calendars and written activity care plans.
• Assist with scheduling programs, parties and games for residents.
• Encourage participation in activities of daily living to stimulate residents physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.
