Job summary

Avina of Mayville is seeking an Activity Assistant to work under the supervision of the Activity Director. You will organize, direct and execute a well-balanced activity program, including daily one-to-one visits and a mix of small to large group activities.

You will lead daily group exercises and coordinate evening and weekend programs. You’ll record participation and help in setting individual goals with other departments, while attending in-service trainings and preparing materials for daily

Responsibilities

• Organize, direct and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Daily visitation on a one to one basis.
• Balance of small, medium and large group activities.
• Balance of recreational, intellectual, religious service and community orientated programs.
• Daily group exercise.
• Lead evening and weekend programs as directed.
• Record resident participation and progress quarterly or as needed.
• Participate in formulation of individual goals with other departments.
• Attend in-service classes and workshops per Activity Director.
• Introduce new residents to activity opportunities.
• Assist in forming monthly activity schedules and evaluating programs.
• Prepare materials and supplies for the day’s activities.
