Job summary

WeCare Centers in New Castle, PA is seeking a Transportation Aide to support residents by driving the facility vehicle and assisting with transfers, ensuring safety and comfort during transport.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and 1–2 years of transportation experience; prior long-term care exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.
• Valid, unencumbered state driver’s license.
• 1-2 years transportation experience preferred.
• Previous long term care experience.
• Experience transporting and transferring residents with physical impairments using facility equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Report all pertinent information concerning resident care as detected to appropriate personnel.

• Review daily rehabilitation schedule and be available as indicated.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Maintain positive, professional interaction with residents and staff.
