Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a friendly server to assist in daily dining room operations and serve meals to residents. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure dishes are delivered promptly while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities include setting up the dining area, presenting menus, answering questions about the menu, and delivering high-quality service. A strong work ethic and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Server
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food in quantities according to the menu, recipe and number of persons to be served.
• Sets up dining room as instructed.
• Prepares items such as salads and beverages.
• Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
• Distributes menus and presents daily specials.
• Answers questions regarding the menu
• Takes resident orders in dining room and serves meals to residents in a timely manner.
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to residents’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
• Cleans resident eating areas, work areas, equipment and utensils according to the proper procedures.
• Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen.
• Washes cooking equipment, carts, pots, pans, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans eating and prep surfaces, sweeps and mops floor.
• Removes garbage.
• Stores food in designated areas.
• Reports any issues or problems that may arise to Food Services Director.
• Complies with state and federal sanitation standards.
• Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards.
• Attends in-services and other required meetings.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
