Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a server for dining services. You will courteously serve meals to residents and guests, assist with menu orders, beverage service, and tray distribution. You’ll help reset and clean the dining area, while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct with residents and staff.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift 50 lbs, long periods of standing, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three hours.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and carry heavy objects for 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents and guests courteously during meals and assist with menu orders.
• Provide beverage service and refill condiments as needed.
• Assist with tray service and dining room cleanup and reset after meals.
• Report any equipment issues to supervisor and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and interact professionally with residents and staff.
