Job summary

The Residence at Village Greens seeks a friendly Server to join our dining team serving residents. You will provide attentive dining service, assist with menu selections, and help create a warm, respectful environment during meals.

Experience in food service or senior living is a plus. We value compassion, reliability, and teamwork, with flexibility for weekends and holidays. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting is a plus.
• Excellence in maintaining food safety and sanitation practices.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other servers, kitchen staff, and care team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgement and make confident ethical decisions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal service.
• Assist residents with menu selections and accommodate dietary restrictions.
• Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
• Serve meals and beverages in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal service.
• Engage with residents and guests to create a warm and inviting dining atmosphere.
• Provide personalized attention to all residents, considering mobility, memory, or sensory limitations.
• Respond to resident requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with special events, holiday meals, and family gatherings as needed.
• Build positive, professional ongoing relationships with residents, families, and team members.
