Job summary

Harmony is seeking a dining server to courteously serve meals to residents and guests and to maintain dining room cleanliness after service. You will assist with menu orders, beverages, and tray service while following proper serving techniques and confidentiality policies.

Responsibilities include food storage practices, in-services attendance, and flexible scheduling that includes evenings, weekends and holidays. Join a team focused on great work-life balance and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet.
• Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• The Server serves resident and guest meals courteously, and handles dining room cleanup and reset after service.
• Assist residents when placing orders from the menu and provide beverage service.
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls and report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Understand sit-down service and proper serving techniques; assist with tray service.
• Ensure proper food storage and labeling; sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings; follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Interact politely with residents, guests, coworkers and supervisors.
