Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Hershey, PA is seeking a Server to courteously serve residents and guests, assist with menu orders, beverage service, and dining room cleanup.

Responsibilities include assisting with tray service, following safety and confidentiality policies, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with placing orders from the menu and serve meals.
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea).
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls before and after each meal.
• Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Understand sit-down service and proper serving techniques.
• Maintain knowledge of food storage and labeling techniques.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Complete all other duties assigned.
• Be attentive to residents with mobility or memory needs.
• Assist with tray service.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Interact politely with residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
