Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Server to courteously serve resident and guest meals and handle dining room cleanup and reset after service. Responsibilities include helping residents place orders, beverage service, and upkeep of dining areas.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods and lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with menu orders.
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea).
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls before and after meals.
• Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Understand sit-down service and proper serving techniques.
• Have a basic understanding of food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.).
• Knowledge of proper food storage and labeling techniques.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
• Assist with tray service.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
• Interact in a polite, considerate manner with residents, guests, coworkers and supervisors.
