Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC in Hershey, PA is hiring Dietary Aides/Wait Staff for full-time shifts from 11:30am to 7:30pm. You will courteously serve resident and guest meals, assist with menu orders, beverages, and dining room clean-up and reset after meals.

Qualifications

• Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene.
• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet.
• Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• The Server is responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service.
• Assists residents when placing orders from the menu and provides beverage service.
• Replenishes salt/pepper/sugar bowls before and after each meal and reports any broken equipment.
• Understands sit-down service and proper serving techniques, and has a basic understanding of food preparation.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room; attends required in-services and staff meetings.
• Interacts in a polite, considerate manner with residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
