Commonwealth Senior Living at Georgian Manor is hiring a Dining Services Associate to support the Dining Services Director. The role focuses on safe, nutritious meal service and resident satisfaction in a community setting.

Open Interviews are held each Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 651 River Walk Pkwy, Chesapeake. Candidates should be able to work varied shifts, including weekends, and have food handler certification.

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the food service industry.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances; tolerate kitchen heat.
• Must be free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe sanitary manner.
• Be familiar with HACCP and WHMIS requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow sanitation practices.
• Serve attractive, nutritious meals in a pleasant, respectful manner.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and cleaned per schedules.
• Prepare dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes.
• Receive stock and store it properly.
• Follow cleaning procedures when equipment is unavailable
• Performs other duties as directed by the Dining Services Director.
• Other duties as assigned.
