Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Chesapeake, Virginia, is looking for a part-time Dining Services Associate to assist with their signature dining services program. The ideal candidate will provide friendly service and ensure exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, maintaining a clean working environment, and following health regulations. Candidates must have a food handler certification, relevant experience, and the ability to lift heavy objects and work varied shifts.

Qualifications

  • Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the food service industry.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
  • Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand/walk throughout the day.
  • Must be free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe manner.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Serve attractive, nutritious meals respectfully.
  • Practice safe usage of all equipment.
  • Prepare dining rooms and set up tables.
  • Follow cleaning procedures when needed.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Skills

Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent
Previous experience in the food service industry
Ability to read and write English
Willingness and ability to learn new tasks
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand/walk throughout the day
Be free of communicable diseases
