Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is hosting Open Interviews every Wednesday for a part-time Dining Services Associate in Kilmarnock, VA. The role supports the Dining Services Director by preparing and serving nutritious meals while ensuring safety and compliance with health codes.

Shifts are varied and weekends may be required. Qualified candidates will have a Food Handlers Certification or equivalent, food service experience, and the ability to read and write English.

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Previous experience in the food service industry.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to our residents in a safe sanitary manner in accordance with Public Health Regulations, and in compliance with Sanitation Code.
• Be familiar with HACCP, WHMIS and related safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and practice safe hygiene.
• Serve attractive, nutritious meals in a pleasant, respectful manner for residents with special needs.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment per schedules.
• Prepare dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes.
