Emerald Care Center Tulsa in Tulsa, OK is seeking a passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare nutritious meals for residents, follow dietary guidelines, and collaborate with the dietary staff to meet special diets.

This full-time position (Monday–Friday) requires a Food Handler Card and a high school diploma; culinary certification or degree is preferred. You will work in a busy facility, maintain a clean kitchen, and contribute to a resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary certification or degree preferred.
• Experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare or institutional setting; knowledge of special diets a plus.
• Food Handler Card required; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: cook a variety of meals per planned menus and dietary needs, including special diets.
• Menu Adherence: follow standardized recipes and portion controls for consistency.
• Kitchen Safety: maintain cleanliness and sanitation according to health regulations.
• Resident Needs: adjust meals for dietary restrictions and preferences while meeting nutritional requirements.
• Inventory Management: assist with ordering and stocking supplies; monitor storage.
• Collaboration: work with dietary staff to plan menus and address resident concerns.
• Record Keeping: document temperatures, portions, and dietary modifications.
• Training: participate in ongoing food safety and dietary trend training.
