Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Cook.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food according to the menu in a sanitary manner.
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving per recipes.
• Prepare quality foods according to recipes and menus.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare food timely at specified meal times.
• Respond to dining room issues or concerns.
• Follow sanitation and cleaning schedules.
• Label and date all food in storage.
• Oversee proper food handling to reduce waste and cost.
• Suggest menu or recipe changes to use leftovers.
• Clean all equipment and storage areas.
