Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook and knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the guidance of the food services director.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to standardized recipes.
• Maintains safety/sanitation standards and timely meal preparation.
• Follows cleaning schedules and proper storage of dishes and equipment.
• Labels and dates foods; prevents contamination; increases quality while reducing cost.
• Suggests menu changes to utilize leftovers and supports kitchen operations.
