Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook for its Winston-Salem community. The role involves preparing meals per menus and recipes, supervising dietary staff when supervisors are away, and ensuring a clean, safe kitchen environment.

You will monitor temperatures, manage portions, and assist with substitutions with director approval. The position requires Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days, strong reading/writing and basic math skills, and ability to work a flexible

Qualifications

• Serv-Safe certification required or willing to obtain within 60 days.
• Ability to read, write and do simple calculations.
• Experience in dining services and food preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of directors.
• Maintain clean, orderly kitchen and food handling areas.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure food safety and portion control.
• Record temperatures and report equipment issues as needed.
