Job summary

HarborChase of Madison is seeking friendly, patient dining-room staff to provide prompt and pleasant service to community residents during meals and activities. You will help with dining room setup, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safe, sanitary food handling while attending to residents’ dietary needs.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in front-of-house roles, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with seniors.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Minimum of one year in front-of-house operations in a restaurant, hotel, club or similar setting.
• Effective communication with management, residents and visitors.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations.
• Passion for working with senior citizens.
• Patience, tact, and cheerful disposition.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, pleasant, and efficient service to residents in dining rooms and during activities.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of dining rooms and waitress stations.
• Ensure safe, sanitary food handling and proper food preparation support.
• Assist with dining set-up and restocking of meals and supplies as directed.
• Report hazards and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Distribute and store dishes; mop floors and perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Adhere to safety, infection control guidelines, and universal precautions.
