Job summary

HarborChase Naperville is seeking a dining room associate to deliver prompt, pleasant service to residents during meals and activities. You will help maintain dining areas and wait stations, and stay alert to hazards that could affect residents' safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of front-of-house experience in hospitality, strong communication, knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations, and a genuine passion for working with senior citizens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front-of-house experience in hospitality/food service preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of state food-handling regulations.
• Passion to work with senior citizens.
• Patience, tact and cheerful disposition.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, pleasant, and efficient service to residents.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of dining rooms and stations.
• Procure food and supplies for meal service as directed.
• Set up dining rooms to meet hospitality standards.
• Practice safe and sanitary food handling.
• Assist in food preparation as directed.
• Perform cleaning duties in dining areas, kitchen, and storerooms.
• Mop floors in designated areas.
• Follow safety and infection control guidelines.
• May fill in for other dining staff as needed.
