Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a friendly server to courteously serve residents and guests during meals, assist with menu orders and beverage service, and help reset the dining room.

This role requires the ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays. It offers 401k, training, career laddering, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three hours.

Responsibilities

• The Server is responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service.
• Assists residents when placing orders from the menu and provides beverage service.
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls and report any broken equipment or tableware.
• Understands sit-down service, proper serving techniques, and basic food storage/ labeling.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room; attend in-services and meetings.
• Assist with tray service and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Interact politely with residents, guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
