Job summary

The Colusa County Sheriff's Office seeks a Resident Deputy Sheriff to patrol the community of Stonyford, respond to calls, prevent crime, and investigate incidents. You will work under general supervision and may pursue POST incentives for advanced certificates and degrees.

The salary includes a 15-step range plus 2.5%–5% educational incentives, with generous benefits and CalPERS retirement eligibility. A valid CA driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• One year of law enforcement experience desirable.
• Current enrollment in a California POST Basic Academy or possession of a Basic Certificate for lateral applicants.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas, answer calls and complaints, and investigate crimes.
• Provide crime prevention and community policing within the Stonyford area.
